Irish rail are hopeful to introduce a new discount travel scheme for pensioners visiting the country from Britain, this should enable greatly reduced fares for pensioners.

Driving from Firies to Dublin (M50) would normally take between 3.5hrs add half an hour to get to Stena line Dun Laoghaire, Dublin Port (Irish Ferries) can be an hour from M50.
